How to Get to Trà Leng
Motorbike
The most popular option. A powerful manual bike (Exciter, Winner) is recommended. Scooters are not advised for the mountain section beyond Bến Giằng.
SUV / Pickup Truck
Safest for families. High ground clearance is essential for the Nam Trà My to Trà Leng stretch. Low-clearance sedans are limited on the final section.
Bus + Motorbike Taxi
Take a bus from Đà Nẵng to Nam Trà My (via Tam Kỳ), then hire a motorbike taxi for the ~25km mountain road to Trà Leng.
Travel Tips
Best Time to Visit
March to August (dry season, sunny weather). The Trà Leng Cinnamon Festival usually takes place in August. Avoid October to November due to heavy rain and landslide risk.
Fuel Up
Fill up your tank at Bến Giằng or Khâm Đức town. Very few gas stations after passing Nam Trà My.
Road Conditions
Highway 14B to 14D is well-paved. The road into Trà Leng is narrow (1-1.5 lanes) with sharp hairpin turns and steep slopes. Watch out for morning fog.
Accommodation
Guesthouses in Nam Trà My town (Tắk Pỏ) or homestays in Trà Leng. Advance booking is recommended, especially during festival season.
